I have 4 USB thumb drives that each hold 500GB, They are amazing for their price and size but are extremely lacking in speed. We are talking about a max of 5MBps, I have tried different formats, changing the properties to performance based, made sure any drivers are up to date and exhausted all my ideas to speed them up. Is there anything else I could possibly try to speed these guys up? They are great for documents, backups, and music, but can not work for movies all to well which is what would be their main use. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I know USB 3.0 is way better, all 5 of my laptop USB ports are 3.0 and my desktop HD is 3.0, but even my other USB 2.0 thumb drives move data faster faster than these things. I will share my actual speeds some time tomorrow when I have some time. Its just a bit ridiculous to have such speeds. Took me 40+ hours to backup my movie collection to one of these, only to find out it corrupts the data of large movie files.
