I have a very old (but trusty) Aspire laptop; I have long since forgotten the name of the product but it looks very similar to the Acer Aspire 6930G in looks and specs.
Anyhow, after 4+ years of service, I'm starting to notice small problems in the touchpad. The button is very sensitive and sometimes when I just touch the LMB then it registers a click, but when I press it down hard the button registers a double click or what else.

I think this might be due to grime stuck underneath the touchpad button, and it started once when the touchpad was sensitive (but not registering doubleclicks on single press) and I pushed some dirt out with a card near the edges of the button. Instead of coming out, I think I might have pushed it in further.

Can anyone help? What could this be due to, the dirt or just general touchpad wear and tear? And how do I replace it, or otherwise solve it? My warranty most likely wore out, and I don't know of any Acer repairers in my part of town (and even if I did, I don't have a car so I can't just drive over there).

Thanks in advance!
