I just got this ram and I want to be able to use all of the ram to its full extent. I had 4gb before i bought more and spending £35 on 1gb more ram that is usable is really annoying me. If someone can tell how i can use all of it it would help.
Sounds like you had 2x2GB or a single 4GB stick and added another 2x2GB, can try ensuring all sticks are fully seated then then try again, if still same try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.06, if still problems, try each stick individually to ensure you don't have a bad one

2x2GB in slots 1-2 and 4GB in slot 3 - again would help to know mobo and CPU, but for a starter, manually set the freq and timings, then set DRAM voltage up + 0.06 from spec and will prob have to raise the MC (memory controller) voltage....if AMD it's prob called CPU/NB if Intel there's no telling withoutt the mobo model, might be NB, QPI/VTT, VCCIO, VCCSA, CPUVTT
