Hey! I recently completely upgraded my computer (new Mobo, GFX card, CPU, RAM and PSU) saving only my old HDD. Everything seemed to be running smoothly after I upgraded to Windows 7 64bit. I then decided to run the windows system rating, to which I was greeted with the problem described in the topic. Thinking it might be a one-off issue, I tried again. Same results. Thinking it might just be an issue with system rating, I ran a different program that is both CPU and GPU intensive, and was greeted by the same issue I got during the rating. It's interesting to note when I get these crashes, the LED on the front of my case slowly pulses and my power button doesn't respond until I cut the power completely. As you could imagine, this issue is quite startling so I've been avoiding using my computer too much until I can figure out what's wrong.
The parts I'm using in my system are;
MOBO; MSI 970A-G43
CPU; AMD FX 8350 8 core
GPU; XFX Radeon HD 7850 [core edition]
PSU; RAIDMAX RX-630SS
HDD; Western Digital WD Blue WD10EALS
I've done a bit of digging on the matter, and I've seen indications that maybe my power supply just isn't cutting it? OR might it be something else I'm not thinking of?
[quick edit; To clarify, I was using HWMonitor to watch my temps leading up to the crash, which is why I seem to think it's not an overheat.]
Regardless, thanks for your collective time!
