The issue I have is just getting worse, my computer would freeze after start-up not directly though. But upon my first start-up at some point my computer would freeze, then once hard reset it would work fine. Now it does it way often and I find myself hard reseting about 3-4 times in a row. Its getting ridiculous as I can no longer do anything through fear of losing all my work (Study/Job/Contact family), this is all a new issue though its never really done this before. Seriously need help with this stressing me out beyond belief! Especially as there seems to be no program or something I do to initialise the freeze up, for instance I could be typing and it would happen, or watching a video, or playing a game, or editing just anythign for that matter. Please please help!

I wrote a longer detailed thread of the history of the issue;

Solution
Mixing RAM with specs that different is asking for problems. I would still replace the PSU as soon as possible. We can go from there if you're still experiencing instability with the new PSU. You will likely have to downclock your HyperX T1 RAM to the lower specs of your HyperX Blu RAM.
Freezing and blue-screen issues are often RAM related. What is the exact model of your Kingston RAM? Have you manually set the RAM speed/timings/voltage to their recommended settings in the BIOS? Have you run Memtest86+ to test for RAM errors? That's where I would start. It would also be nice if you could post the model number of your PSU. You didn't list it in your other thread. A cheap PSU will cause all sorts of issues.

Hey shortstuff_mt thanks for the speedy response, would have replied sooner, but comp has been frozen all evening :(
It doesn't seem to be a blue screen, as nothing happens everything I was doing stays up I just can't click/move mouse/keyboard/ nothing responds basically, either hanging or freezing, not sure on the difference. I am using the "Kingston HyperX T1's" I have four 2GB models. Dual channel. I have not touched the V settings on this motherboard no, I shall check to see if they are set to the correct settings. Is that "Memtest86+" or "PassMark MemTest86+"?
The PSU make is "CIC" or "CIT" Its using a funky font for the spelling. 650W. I have thought for a while I should buy a new one as it is rather old now, and cheap, I hope that is the cause. Again thanks for the speedy reply will check those things for you.

Memtest86+ can be downloaded from here:

http://www.memtest.org/

There are a number of Kingston DDR3 HyperX T1 kits out there with different speed and timing ratings. Can you post the exact model number that's on the heat spreader? The HyperX T1 RAM seems like it requires high voltage, so manually setting the RAM settings in the BIOS should help.

You should also get a high quality PSU as soon as you can. You have a ticking time bomb in your system with your current PSU. I wouldn't be surprised if it is responsible for your freezing issues.

Okay I checkd on CPU-Z because I couldn't find my box/receipt
xuop.png

Hope this tells you! Ah the RAM tests I have done recently actually, I didn't realise it was the same thing sorry, my RAM passed all the smart tests and what's not. Also all four RAM are the exact same bought as a set. As far as I could tell the RAM settings are fine for Voltage.
Yeah I am looking into getting another one right now actually. Got any recommendations, my budget would be about £70 max if there are really decent ones beneath that would be wicked as bit low on money right now :( sad times! Thanks again for the help so far!

If it was me I would still manually set the RAM to DDR3 1866 with 9-11-9-27 timings at 1.65v, but if your RAM has passed multiple passes of Memtest86+ then it might be OK. The most important thing right now is to get a quality PSU installed. This one is at the top of your price range, but would work great.

Seasonic S12II-620 620W

You really don't need a 600W+ PSU for your system, though. The official AMD requirements for the HD5770 are for a 450W PSU.

http://www.amd.com/tw/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5770/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5770-system-requirements.aspx

If funds are tight you could get away with something like this:

XFX ATX 550 Power Supply

or

Corsair Builder Series CXM 500W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX/EPS PSU

Okay you guys are convincing me that it could be RAM, I shall check again and let it do a fair few passes and get back to you on that. The reason I have a bigger PSU is because I occasionally CrossFire two HD5770's playing it safe! Okay thanks I will check those out thanks

Awesome I let the MemTest86+ run for three hours no errors, did just over three passes. I'm not 100% sure on how to do the timmings and what they mean, but mine are at 9-9-9-24 @128bit. Also when doing the memtest I actually noticed I am using 2 sticks of my old sets of RAM so 4GB is HyperX T1's at 2133 and the other 2 sticks 4GB are HyperX Blu at 1333. Not sure if this is causing the issue, but as I said no errors when checking.
So would it be safe to assume that its the PSU? Or would you guys recommend checking anything else?
Thanks again for this helps so far, really means a lot guys!

Hey sorry only just realised I never added an answer, but I'm back and apparently my computer is with a vengeance..
I managed to fix my first computer with the eventual clockings of RAM settings. Now though, I have bought an entirely new computer, completely;
PSU - Corsair CX750
CPU - 8350 AMD
RAM - HyperX T1 4GB Dual
Mobo - Crosshair Formula IV

I know the cpu isn't set for this board, but I updated the bios looked around it works. Its been working, all year so far..until about a month ago and for a reason I cannot figure out, the same issues started cropping up. Freezing/hanging. Now the first issue was due to HDD's and RAM this time, its all new. New OS Win 8.1 3 HDD's brand new. As well as everything else, I take care of my computer I don't mistreat it, I clean it regularly. I use it often could this be an issue?
When it first froze I didn't think much of it as I hadn't restarted in a couple of days. But then it started happening maybe once a week, so I began checking Even Viewer, the first few errors were just nothing significant, then after it began to happen more often, I started getting a MFTS error (I think) Master table error.. I eventually fixed that by using software to fix my hdd, then tit didn;'t freeze for about half a week. To when it began again, this time though a different error, on start up, I would get a message saying Press f1 to continue CPU fan error, that was it, no way to access my bios, at all. Pressing "del" would take me through post but end up telling me the same message, never actually entering bios. It has never done this before. But my computer would still work, just occassional freezing. Eventually the freezing started happening at least once a day. To which there was another error message in event viewer, it was about my CCC.exe (Catalyst control centre) For the graphics card. I fixed this one though, by rerolling its drivers. That now doesn't appear. How ever the freezing still exists. I have done full system clean ups. Uninstalls of software, registry clean ups. Everything. I heard it may have been cpu fan control, but as stated I cannot enter bios to change its settings, I have changed them in windows with SpeedFan, to no avail. My computer doesn't say its overheating, I regularly use CPU temp - Hm1Monitor. Now it freezes very often, I'd say almost every game within the first 20 minutes of a game, it will freeze my system. Always. And I will have to hard reset. It does not how ever happen often out of games. Though it does. But with any game, it will freeze. It started off being once a day, to twice a day, to multiple times a day. Now its almost every time I load up a game. On top of this, event viewer now shows nothing for about 2 hours up till the point I power my computer back on, after a freeze.
I know this is a huge message, please any help would be appreciated as I have been searching the forums for weeks and just can't seem to find anything related to these issues!

Hello folks, just wanted to share my experience with a similar issue i had....my fx-6300 system was doing the same thing and after exhausted research found a bad sata cable on the ssd. I changed it and now my pc works perfect....A simple bad sata cable drove me nuts for a whole month.
