Hi,
I'm in the stages of getting money together to fund my new build (saying my current one was first started in July 2009). I really liked the Fractal Design Define R4 due to it's style, quietness as well as practicality (and I couldn't find another chassis that I really liked that fits the purpose).

I was looking at getting a Corsair H100i to cool an AMD FX-8350 (which shall be overclocked - first overclock for me, too). Then, I came across the H105 (soon to be released) on the Corsair Website (Check Here).

Therefore, I was wondering if I'd be able to fit the H105 into the top of the build (I don't want to put the radiator in the front). If it doesn't, will the H100i? As I've heard that it will fit but you can only run it with 2 fans because of space restrictions..

If anyone could enlighten me on this, it'd be much appreciated!

Spoiler
If anyone was wondering what the planned build is, here you go!

CPU: AMD FX-8350
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro (16GB, DDR3-2400 (2x8GB))
GPU: EVGA nVidia GeForce 770
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO (250GB)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black (2TB)
PSU: Corsair AX760 PSU (760w, Modular)

For fans, I'll also be using Corsair SP120s all round...

Thanks in advance for replies! :D

You will have to fit the radiator in the fan mesh. The Fractal R4 does not support radiators of that size officially. Have you not considered the H80 to put on the back of the Fractal R4.

So that means I must put the fans outside of the chassis on the other side? And if so, I'm guessing I might have to do some Case Modding to hide the fans that are on the top?

And me being one for OCD - I personally don't like the H80 purely because of its design. I personally prefer Top-Mounted Radiators anyway! :p

You wont HAVE to put the fans on the outside, the Fractal will have plenty of room inside for the fans and the radiator.

That's fine then.. But it'll have to be in a push configuration then instead of pull (judging by what you said earlier).. If it seems like it isn't going to work for me then I'll most likely end up going for something from Corsair..

Basically, he means that you need to put the radiator up against the metal casing at the top.. And then attach the fans to the other side of the radiator (on the inside of the chassis) so it pushes air through. This means you won't have any fans or stuff on the outside..

Basically, like this..

So the h105 will fit? And if I get the h100i, dont I have to make the rad touch the metal anyways? I will be making the fans outtake that are below the rad but I won't put fans above cause I can't. But the h105 will fit for sureeee?

The H100i will fit, but only in the way that's shown in that picture. However, because the H105 (soon to be released); it has a thicker radiator by about 10mm or so - which means it won't fit in there sadly. The only way for it to fit is for you to upgrade to the Define R4 XL (which doesn't have a window - you'd maybe have to Mod it).

But saying that, I've now been looking around and am showing great interest in the Corsair Graphite C760T (Black) because.. Just wow...

I believe, instead of screwing the screws into the holes provided in the Fractal R4 you will actually have to screw them in the hexagon shaped fan mesh but because the R4 is such good quality this should not be a problem.
