Hello everyone, I'm posting because it would appear something has gone wrong with my motherboard.

I tried to turn on my computer a few days ago, and my fans turned on for a few seconds and then shut off. I tried again and the computer booted. I dismissed it.

Next day, I turn on my computer and it blinks the fan LEDs, then shuts off. I try again but no response. I try unplugging cords, a stick of RAM, etc. and no luck.

So, I tested the power supply with the old paper clip trick and it did not respond, so I filed for an RMA since it was clearly busted.

However, I still have an old OCZ ModXtreme 600W PSU laying around. My computer turned on just fine with it, but I am getting no video. I even unplugged my external card and still no video from the onboard Intel HD graphics.

Is my MOBO shot now too? No hard drive activity either. No mobo startup screen. Just the fans seem to be working, including the CPU fan.

Specs:
- i5 2500k
- ASRock Pro3 Gen3
- Old Working PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro
- 2x4GB DDR3
- Soundblaster Audigy 2

The way you describe it, I'd have to say yes. When you know you have a PSU that is 100%, try breadboarding the MB outside the case with JUST CPU/cooler, 1 stk RAM in 1st slot, monitor, PSU, keyboard. Start the system by momentarily shorting the two pins that the power button would connect to. If you can't get a display and boot to BIOS, I'd have to assume the MB is toast.
