I had a 4GB RAM stick, but I decided to upgrade. So, I just bought another 4GB stick.
I have an Asus M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard. The first stick of RAM is Spectek Select 4GB DDR3 1600 while the second stick is Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600.
No matter what slots I place the sticks, BIOS only recognizes 4GB of memory. I've done each individually in different slots to ensure that both sticks work and all my slots work.
When I go ahead and continue with Windows 8, it detects 8GB but says that only 4GB are usable.
Are these two particular brands incompatible or is there something I am missing?
