I've recently decided to read a bit about overclocking my gpu. I own a ASUS GTX 770 DirectCU II OC. It was said that this model has great overclock capabilities. Already come with a backplatet to help dissipating the heat as well as two big fans. With stock coolers and the program that you can download from Asus website (asus gpu tweak), I'm set on + 130mhz gpu boost clock, + 0.12v, 8000mhz memory clock, power target 110%, gpu temp target 84C. I got great improvements from this, tested battlefield 4 and world of warcraft. Fans were on auto. After a while playing wow, the screen blinked twice and everything was sent back to default. Weird since the temperature hadn't gone beyond 76C. I put everything back on the top again, but this time I set the fans to work all the time at 100%. I played for about 2 hours and it hold it for the time. Temperatures didn't pass beyond 68C. It seems to be working as good as a gtx 780 reference card. Anyway, what I wanted to know is if that's ok to mantain the over AND the fans on 100% all the time (fans 100% even when pc is on idle and I'm not using it). I hardly power off the pc by the way. Thanks.

Running them at 100% 24/7 is not bad but it will decrease the lifespan of the fans but they will still last you 2-3 years at least if at 100% all the time. And your screen blinking and resetting the overclock means that it crashed and you should either lower your core clock or increase voltage
