Will AMD bring out an R9 280?

Hi all, i was wondering if AMD would bring an R9 280 out in the future sometime soon, as the price for an r8 280x is quite high, even without the whole bitcoin/litecoin spikes recently. I currently have a gtx 760 and it plays every game i play on atleast medium which is good, but i want to go back to an amd card as within the next year as i would like to go to try multi monitor gaming even though the settings would need to be lower for good fps, id do it for an experiment. I would like to use 2 cards to get a better experience and i can only do that with AMD as system i have now only supports xfire.If AMD brought out an r9 280 i think that would be the perfect card for me as it would be more powerful than my card, and i could go with 2 with my current system. Anyone know if AMD plan on the r9 280?

I had a 7950 and i wasn't really satisfied with its performance, but it may have been throttling as i had an original dcu2 that was too heavy and it fried itself. If i were to go back to an AMD gpu solution within the next 6 months should I go for a 7950/7970 second hand if i can pick one up cheap enough and go xfire soon after or just go for the 280x and keep single gpu for a while?
