My husband got new RAM in to add to his 16gb so it will become 32GB. His computer is supposed to be able to handle it, but it won't turn on even with the regular RAM installed. So is his motherboard fried?
Try each stick individually - before starting reset the CMOS, let us know the model numbers of the sticks/sets of DRAM, the CPU and the mobo - there's a good possibility they all won't play together
