Weird noises from Headset/Speakers

Hey!

So to start off, I'm just going to say that I hope I made this thread in the right place. I was sort of iffy about which category to post this in, but this seemed pretty close to what I'm posting about. If not, sorry and perhaps a mod could move it.

So I've had this computer for 2 years now, I think. The first headset I bought was a USB Logitech headset, which served me well for quite a while. Eventually they broke so I decided to buy an okay gaming headset (Razer Kraken, I think), which uses the more traditional audio/mic ports (just the green and pink ones).

I actually didn't notice any problems with the new headset because for some time, I had actually switched to my girlfriend's computer. However, when I decided to go back to my own, I noticed that I could hear a buzzing noise coming from my headset. When I listened carefully and tested the noise, I realized that I was hearing my HDD and (I think) my graphics card. This happens for both my front audio ports and my back ones (I just use the built in mobo ports). The headset works fine on my other computer, and when I listened carefully with speakers, the noise was present. I'm pretty sure I updated the realtek driver in an attempt to fix the problem, but to no avail. I'll try it again though, just to be sure, and this time I'll uninstall the old one first.

Anyway, aside from updating drivers, does anyone know what the problem might be? I read something on another forum about shield and whatnot, and I wasn't sure it was the problem. I tried moving the cord both on front ports and back. I even tried moving the cord that connects the front ports to mobo.

Thanks in advance.

Still having this problem :|
If it helps, I can swap a few things with some other pieces I have lying around/on my other computer. I can swap chassis, motherboard+cpu, HDD, video card. Would that help narrow the problem down at all?
