Having Mouse Problems, Help me Troubleshoot?

When I'm playing games my cursor will get scratchy and spastic at some points, occasionally it will only move vertically. Sometimes it will shoot my look in CS:GO and Minecraft directly down for no apparent reason.

It's a Razer Naga Molten, if that helps.

Suggestions, Solutions? Any helpful response greatly appreciated.

what kind of mousepad?
certain patterns can cause erratic movement.

do you lift your mouse at all while in use?
lifting or tilting a laser mouse can cause the mouse to shoot off in a direction

by only moving vertically do you mean that side to side motion of the mouse is ignored? like the cursor is stuck in a vertical only movement path no matter what you do? if so have you tried uninstalling the software/drivers, using a different usb port, using a different computer, different game or different mouse to check various situations to see where the issue arrises? this will help determine if its the mouse, the software, the game or your computer.
