Hello!
I want upgrade my PC, I have 4 GB RAM, 2 x 2Gb, working dual channel.
My question is: if add one 8GB ram will work fine?

PC spec:
SO:Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 (rev. 1.x)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055t
RAM: 4092 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM)
DIMM1: SuperTalent SUPERTALENT02 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (9-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz) (8-8-8-22 @ 592 MHz) (7-7-7-19 @ 518 MHz) (6-6-6-16 @ 444 MHz)
DIMM2: SuperTalent SUPERTALENT02 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (9-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz) (8-8-8-22 @ 592 MHz) (7-7-7-19 @ 518 MHz) (6-6-6-16 @ 444 MHz)

You can try it, I don't advise mixing sets as there's never a guarantee they will play nice together, but this would be the way to go - that way you'll at least have 8GB, and then can try adding the 2x2GB - if they don't want to play - give me a yell and we can quite possibly get them to play, DRAM has long been a sort of specialty of mine

Yes, it will work fine. But you will loose your Dual Channel Mode speed with only a single stick in the 3rd DIMM slot. You would be slightly better to get a matched pair of 4GB sticks over the single 8GB stick.

Now, if you plan on upgrading the single 8GG stick with a matched 2nd stick soon, fine. Live with single channel until then.

clutchc. you say use 2x4gb sticks with 2x2 gb?

The chipset was originally designed to accommodate DDR2 or DDR3, at the time 4GB sticks were still relatively new, 8GB sticks weren't really being looked forward to, the early mobos maxed at 4x2GB and later 4x4GB, haven't seen anything where they've upped the support to 8GB sticks and most all mobos have the Max DRAM broken down to between the number of slots, if it supported 8GB sticks then it should support 32GB, provided the spec sheet for the specified mobo.

So tradesman1, will be 2x2GB + 2x4GB (12 GB) = OK?
will bot work dual channel? I'm confused.

As an alternative to the single 8GB, yes.
