How to make my at&t modem/router just a router

I am changing the company but I only have a modem for the new company.
I am wondering can I use my ATT modem/ router as a router for wireless??

Normally, there's no LAN-in port, so you cannot connect the modem to your network and only use it as a router

No, you cannot use your modem as a router. List the model number and I can double check, but you are better off selling it and buying an actual managed router.

Can we clarify?

Is the AT&T Modem/router your old modem, and you are using a new modem? You want to use the old modem as a wireless router?
