g75vw laptop adapter swtiches off when on UPS

I have g75vw Asus Laptop and I get regular power cuts. So I tried connecting to my UPS at 700Watts but as soon as the power goes out the adapter turns off and things like my router and phone stay on. What is going on????

The adapter is 19v with 9.5Amps and model is ADP-180HB D.

Managed to fine a cure of sorts.... the power cable was American, basically a 3 pin plug, n I got a local 2 pin plug, being in Pakistan, n used that with the UPS n it works 3 out of 4 times when the power goes out....

Not a permanent solution but it works...

A friend told me to rotate the plug that might work n I couldn't do that with an American cable so a local plug worked which works on one side but not the other...
