This is my first time building a computer, hence, I want to ask a few questions.

I'm looking to keep my costs at the lowest and go for a good gaming computer that can also be good for work. I trimmed my choices to 2 CPUs -FX 8350 and i5 3570K.

So my questions:
1) Is the new Fatal1ty 990FX Killer a good Motherboard for what I'm looking for? I tried to find reviews but couldn't find a lot...
2) from my research , the motherboard stated above would be compatible with the FX-8350? I want to double check.
3) what would be a good (and cheap) motherboard that would go with the i5 -3570K.

Thanks for your time :)

Ashrock motherboards are not reliable boards. better to go with ASUS or Gigabyte motherboards.
There are plenty of good motherboards that would go with 3570k. I need to know your exact budget and also if you are going to overclock your processor, to give you some good examples.

AMD chipset 990 is for FX processors . Direct check proved that FX 8350 is supported . chipset 990 is 10% faster than chipset AMD 970.

i d prefer Haswell not Ivy Bridge
for instance
cpu i5 4670
mobo Asus Z87-K or ASRock H87 Prro4

1 its a good motherboard
2 it supports all 8core cpu's like 8350
3 better go for 4670k so a good pair would be somethis like this cheap with gaming features

as a gaming machine go with the i5. as for gaming and other activities simultaniously(multitheaded operations) better go with the 8350 also from the intel ther is also 4770k which outperforms all.
