So i went into the computer store hoping to get the gtx 760, the first problem i encountered was that because i bought my computer second hand i didnt have any spare cables for my psu

So i didn't have the right modular cable, idk what cable that is with regards to the gpu if anyone could tell me that would be appreciated- like is it 8 pic ect

The store had a spare and put the card in with it but the card just didn't register they say perhaps i should update the bios ( how do i do that?) gtx 640 works fine?

I consequently didnt buy the card, i want to get the asus gtx 760 2 gb

They tested the normal 760

What could the problem be?

These are my specs
