What should I do if the HDD Recovery Partition doesn't appear after pressing F12?

previously, I got into a installation problem which I had to turn it off using the power button. When I power it up again, the windows (8.1) was not able to load the windows system. So, to cut the story short, I copied the HDD recovery image and format the whole partitions in my system. I got to install back the OS and I want to use the recovery, BUT the HDD recovery doesn't appear after pressing f12. What should I do?

From your description, it appears you formatted the whole drive, which removed the recovery partition from the drive.

If its not there, F12 isn't going to do anything.

Before I format the partition, I copied the recovery files then pasted back again after. What should I do to make it reappear when i press f12 during bootload?

How did you 'copy' this recovery partition?

I not sure. But if I remember it correctly, I selected "restart pc" option then the system couldn't find an image so I chose "advanced search" I don't know if that's the real name for that. Then, a windows explorer poped up. I was rattling because most of my files were there so I check the files and they were there. So, I plugged in my external hdd and copied all my files. From that explorer, i saw "recovery" in drive E:. So copied it. I didn't get my recovery from another pc or downloaded it from the net. It was actually mine.
