What material is top part of the CPU made out of ? and why is it silver/shiny

As far as I'm aware silver is a good heat conductor, and that's bad for cpu right? I don't understand why is the top part shiny? and what material is it.

The cpu gets hot, because it has a lot of electricity going through it. The metal transfers the heat to the big cooler and the fan blows it away. Otherwise the cpu would break.

Should be the same as the heat sinks I think, like zinc, aluminum or copper!
BTW, the shiny thing its called heat spreader

That is most definitely not silver, my guess is steel or aluminium.

It is a composit. an alloy for strength and heat conductance and it is nickel plated.
