As far as I'm aware silver is a good heat conductor, and that's bad for cpu right? I don't understand why is the top part shiny? and what material is it.
The cpu gets hot, because it has a lot of electricity going through it. The metal transfers the heat to the big cooler and the fan blows it away. Otherwise the cpu would break.

And what material is the "silver" made out of? is it an actual silver? or is a steel or some sort of metal?
