Hi all,

Just a quick question,

I have a Palit 760GTX JetStream 2GB with my new build. I don't have the best cooling yet as I have a front intake fan, downfacing PSU and a Coolermaster Hyper Evo 212 CPU cooler.

My CPU is kept nice and cool with the aftermarket cooler but my video card got up to 75c last night when playing BF3 on ultra. This sounds normal but is 75c unsafe?

I'm going to buy an exhaust fan for the back of the case to aid cooling, do you think this would make a noticeable difference?

Thanks

Solution

ramp up the fan speed on the GPU. You're fine aslong as you're uneder 80*C. My card went up to 85*C everyday for half a year, but now i got some cooling, so some overheating won't destroy your card aslong as you don't go over 100*C or alsong this doesn't happen everyday.

Ok ok, thanks both!

What cooling did you get and would recommend? I can imagine the hot air coming from the hyper evo isn't getting sucked out the back of the case and is instead getting exhausted via the fans on my gpu.

I wonder if this is actually making it hotter?

Yeah I've stole one from work haha. Will fit it tonight. It should be an exhaust fan right to pull hot air from the case?

I have my psu pulling cold air from the floor and one fan on the front of the case. Should this be intake?

I can imagine this would be a good airflow config.

The front should be intake an at the back make it outtake.

Good luck!

And kudos for stealing! haha
