PC isnt booting =

Ive decided to upgrade my g41m - gs3 mobo with 4 gb Crucial DDr 3 ct51264BA160GJ. Pogblem is : After pressing power button, fans spins for 2- 3 sec and it shuts down, waits 3 more sec and repeats. Placed old chip works fine . Please help

With the new ram in have you tried resetting CMOS before startup?
Do you have the latest BIOS for your board?

Flashed bios to latest 1.3.0, cmos reset few times, no luck.

Then I am afraid I do not have a solution apart from saying that the stick you got is bad. There is though a slim possibility there is some kind of a in compatibility.

Will prob need to use your old DRAM and at least OC the FSB to 1333, which is prob the new sticks default, newer sticks seldom have presets for for a mobo that has a default like the G41 chipset, plus your mobo supports up to 1333, would need a good model # on the DRAM to tell better
