Hi!
I can't seem to enter my Bios/boot options or anything else on start-up. I have pressed all from "esc" to all "f-buttons" and also on "delete". Sometimes when I hit delete the boot up stops.. but then my screens are just black and nothing happens..
I just want to make my new ssd my boot drive instead of my old hdd.
BTW - it boots up fine I just want to change boot drives.

Specs:
Win 7 64-bit
intel core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 4GB DDR5
MoBo: Msi Z68A-G45 (B3)
System Model: MS-7750

Your board has a fast boot option in Winki 3 that may need to be turned off before you can get into the bios. AFAIK the only way to turn it off is to reset the CMOS. Then you will get default settings, should be able to get into the bios, and then will have to set any changes from default settings again.

Does that model have a "Go 2 BIOS" option in Windows?

Thanks for the reply! :)
I have now tried to remove the CMOS battery (for 6-7 mins.) and putting it in again. Now when I try to boot the screen is black. Fans are on, LEDs are on... But if i press Ctrl+alt+del it restarts.. Help please :(

EDIT: I got a blue box before black screen with no text - just a selection bar. Chose a random place and presses enter and just like that the PC would boot!

But I still cant enter my BIOS - there is no MSI splash screen or anything that says what to press - just a "b2" in the bottom right and then Windows splash screen and its booted up.. Still no answer to this..

Did you have your computer unplugged from the wall socket while the CMOS battery was out?

Yes I disconnected all power while I unplugged it. Didn't add power until battery was in again. Should I leave the power in? Sorry for noob speak - we all are gonna start out like that ;)

Nope, should be out -- just checking.

And when you hit ctrl-alt-del and restarts can you get into the bios?

no it's all just the same again.. not even f2 works.. some time back I think my friend disabled my msi splash screen where it stated "press delete (I think) to enter BIOS" but that doesn't show anymore - and he disabled that in (you guessed it) the BIOS....... but if there is a way to get to BIOS by a special shutdown procedure or maybe a software that can enable that splash screen then there might be a way..

Did you happen to try using the "Clear CMOS" jumper on the motherboard instead of removing the battery? Just a thought, I've seen it happen sometimes where you need to jumper the Clear CMOS before settings would actually go back to default

Check in the manual for the motherboard. The jumper I'm referring to usually isn't far from the battery itself, but the manual should show you exactly where it is. You might need to get a jumper from an old hard drive you have laying around (Hopefully :) )
