Sharing Internet connection problem

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I'm using Blackberry 9780 as modem to connect to the Internet on my Campaq CQ35 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. Shared laptop's Internet connection with iPad. Worked flawless before, but somehow doesn't work now.

No problem with accessing Internet from laptop and iPad able to connect to laptop using WiFi. But no still Internet.

Last action (related to networking) before losing this Internet sharing functionality was using Windows Troubleshooter to resolve a problem which caused me to not being able to connect to Internet from a coffee house' WiFi.

I also ran Windows Update around the same time, could it be due to one of the updates Windows pushed through?

That is a setting that I never use, I never let the computer turn off the wireless adapter.

I'm not an Apple guy, but I would expect that your iPad would need to have the old network removed and then reattach -- that is what you would need to do with a Windows machine.

Just fix whichever issue you have. First look in your network control panel, under change adapter settings and see if the virtual wifi miniport is there, and I would expect that it will be there. If it is, then open the wireless adapter (the actual physical one) with a right click, select properties, select the sharing tab, check the box for Internet Connection Sharing.

Virtual wifi miniport there, and wireless adapter sharing is now turned on. iPad now shows that I'm connected to Internet, but still no traffic. Appreciate some advice on next course of action.

Update: I've tried all standard remedies, including using netsh from command prompt.

However, each time I try netsch wlan start hostednetwork, it returns the following error message: The hosted network couldn't be started. The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.

This is also AFTER enabling "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in my wireless adapter.
