just reformated, do i need to download a driver for my motherboard?

basically just what the title suggests, i reformatted and don't know if i need to do anything for my motherboard. i lack all the paperwork and disks the computer came with 6 years ago. were can i find these drivers anyways? Dell isnt helping much

Dell isn't helping much? you may not be searching the right way.. Go to: http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx and click on the Support For Home "Start here" button, type your service tag number.. you can find the tag somewhere in the computer case exterior, in the BIOS, or from Windows with System information applications... (I believe Speccy can find it). Or click on this link and follow the instructions to allow Dell find it in your system.
Or click on this link, or this one to scan your system for the Service tag. Once your system is scanned and identified you can download all the available driver updates.

ok so that worked, their auto scan thing didnt work, as that sort of thing never works on this computer. but i found the tag and they are talking to me now! thank you for the help with this. im getting tired of this old rickety computer haha.
