Also, fair warning, the 7970 and the 280x don't crossfire well. (learned that the hard way). They do crossfire but only at about a 140-165 percent increase in performance instead of a 185-200 percent on a 7970-7970 or 280x-280x crossfire. I say sell your 7970 and buy either a 7990 or crossfire a gtx 770 or 280x.

Plus the C70 is a bad case for the money. Get either a Phantom 530 or a 600D.

Thank for the info on the cheaper parts! I should've included in my post i'm planning on using my current 2tb hard drive. Here are my questions about what you suggested

-I'm planning on gaming a lot and I want to future proof my system and i've read that the FX-9590 keeps up with intels i7 4960k

-When I was looking at store computers for comparison all most all of them had 16gb of ram, do you thinks excessive/unnecessary?

-When I was looking at crossfire for the 7970 and 280x and it said the required amount of power was 750w so i thought i would need more with my power hungry processor and if i ever wanted to do overclocking

I really appreciate the input :)

Thanks! I was thinking that the 280x might not crossfire well with the 7970, and I was looking at the gtx 780 if that was the case

As for the Case the 600d was one of my other prime choices, I just really liked the look of the c70 and the latches for transportation when necessary
