Title says it all. I originally installed the amd heatsink, fired up Kerbal Space Program and my pc crashed less than a minute after. I had to wait a few minutes before I was able to boot windows, that's when I noticed that the APU was idling around 60c, I had another amd heatsink collecting dust so I attached the two heatsinks together as a temporary solution. That didn't cut it. So I finally opened the side panel of my main rig and grabbed the h60 that keeps my 8120 well under 40c at all time. After 2 hours of windows updates, I looked at the temps and 50c on idle (60c while playing Terraria).

The BIOS has been updated for good measures, my two hard drives are around 25c and my motherboard is at a constant 32c so its really not an issue with airflow. I have used Speccy and HWMonitor for the temperatures. Core temp tells me that my processor is at 0c.

Any suggestions?

You should take that APU back to wherever you bought it. I'd wager that the thermal paste between the die and IHS is either poorly applied or of poor quality or both. You can delid the APU yourself and reapply the TIM if you don't mind losing the warranty.
