Anybody ever hear of ACE POWER PSU?

Soon I'll be retiring this old Pentium 4 based PC. The PSU died in it about a 4 months ago so I bought one from a guy in town (ACE POWER) runs fine right now but when I retire this one for a new high end build I plan to take the ACE out of this one and replace the cheap Bestec in the other HP my girlfriend uses. Is ACE POWER any better than Bestec? The Bestec is 250W and ACE is 400W.

Ace Power seems to be another generic, low cost, low quality PSU maker. Newegg has some listed under the Compucase brand and they are pretty basic and of questionable quality. I would certainly not recommend using with a high-end system based on what I saw. It is surely a better PSU than the Bestec you plan to replace.

Oh. No no I'm going Corsir RM with high end but my Hewlett has the Bestec so I was thinking of swapping it for Ace. The FM1 socket is also done so I was also going to put new motherboard with FM2+ and the new kaveri when it comes out into the Pavilion. Do you think Hewlett has any safe guards? regaurding upgrades it's a Pavilion P7-1137c I'll just use the case

Im currently running an Ace 550w psu, had it for well over a year and a half.

We had one power surge (blew some fuses in the house and fried the office room pc) and all that happened was my system shut down.
once i turned it back on everything was fine on my pc.
Im guessing iv got a well made one as the reviews on them arn't great. The only trouble i have with mine is there isnt enough amp on the 12v rail, so im upgrading to a corsair.
But for £19.98 its served me well.
