Hi community!
I am about to sell my friend one of my unused motherboards (MSI-GD43), and I was wondering if there was an easy was to test it to see if it still works. I'm wondering if there is a way to test it with my current setup's PSU without unplugging the ssd's, hdds, graphics card and molex fans from MY setup. And if I don't have to unplug them, is there any risk attached to it?

I don't know if having a graphics card or hdd's plugged into a different system whilst the psu is on is going to be a problem.

Note, I will have a cpu and ram plugged into the testing motherboard.

Thanks for any replies! ;)

I just want the mobo to post to check if it still works, and remove the least amount of plugs from my current pc.

Is it bad to plug the HDD's into MY computer's motherboard with a sata power cable connected to the psu, and have the OTHER motherboard connected to the SAME psu whilst it is switched on?
Thanks ;)
