Does Autotune (catalyst control center) continue after restart?

I recently tried to run an autotune test on my AMD XFX 6770 graphics card but ended up shutting down my computer in the middle of the test. Now, whenever I turn it on, the screen flickers, goes black, and everything is completely frozen. Is Catalyst Control Center trying to continue the autotune test? Or is there another issue? Should I just let it sit for a few hours and see what happens?

Hi docnugget,
I haven't done any OC yet (to be honest with I never really had to).
But I think your system is trying to continue to run the Auto-tune tool. I suggest you remove and reinstall the driver to play it safe. By the way, here is the link for your driver (Catalyst 13.12 WHQL): http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%207%20-%2032 (Note, this is for the Win7 32-bit). Or you may look it up from here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Doing the above should get your system back to a stable state.

If you are looking to overclock your GPU, try doing it manually (but make sure to do some research first as OCing is somewhat of an "art form" and can be tricky - that's why I've done it yet, makes me nervous). I suggest you look into oc sub-forums here at Tom'sHardware (there are a lot of pros here) and as a back-up look into forums like Overclock.net or Overclockers.co.UK. I'm sure you'll find lots of help and guidance from their respective members. Just do a search for Overclock GPU here...

By manually I mean increase your GPU clock setting in small increments, for example 15 or 20Mhz at a time. And repeat this till you reach your goal (and definitely keep an eye on your temps)

I hope the above helps you a little...
