I have used both the Barracuda and the Blue in many builds over the years. I've never had an issue with either one. Go with which ever has the best deal. I'd very slightly favor the WD. But not by all that much.
  2. I have the 1 TB Seagate and I think that it is a fantastic drive! Quiet, reliable and VERY fast! More data here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/298500-32-barracuda-st1000dm003-blue-wd10ezex

  7. me and my friend got Western Digital and both fails within the warranty period (lucky). My 40gb seagate HDD still lives. Ive been using it for more than 10years now :D
  8. I have the Barracuda 7200.14 1TB now for a few days, and it's faster then wd black. I got 207.5mb/s transfer on that seagate. Not sure how long it will last me, because i hear bad things about it.
