BSOD's and Game Crashes After Changing Graphic Options

I recently got a new computer.

Last night I played 5 hours of Metro 2033, utterly uninterrupted without a crash or BSOD. I put the graphics to full but it said "Game will have to be restarted to apply some settings".

Tonight I started up Metro 2033 and after about 20 minutes it BSOD'd. I restarted the computer and tried it again, it crashed but didn't BSOD. I restarted it and after about 5 minutes the graphics went all over the fucking place and the audio hung and I had to manually restart.

I've also been getting "crashes" in Dota 2 where the game will play fine from anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour and then it'll hang, lose video but then play audio and still have the custom cursor.

I think a graphics option is messing with my card because my card is brand new and also it plays games like Deus Ex HR and Serious Sam 3: BFE just fine for hours on end. Also the crashes only started in Dota 2 and Metro 2033 after changing the graphics options to very high/high.

I don't think it's overheating, the computer is well ventilated. Also the drivers are the latest I can get.

Here's the speccy printout for my PC:

It's on a 600W PSU. (Edit) Some people have alerted me that 600W might not be enough to sustain my graphics card and processor and that an overdraw of power might be causing unexpected crashes. Is that a real possibility?

Cheers in advance for any help.

Update:

I just played an hour or so of Metro after turning everything down to medium graphics and didn't get so much as a frame drop. I'm so confused.

Yeah I've just installed CPUID's Hardware Monitor so I can check max temperature after the game crashes or shuts down.

But I can't imagine that's the problem, I've got 5 giant fans stuck to this thing, 3 in 2 out. But worth a check.

EDIT: Just got a crash in Dota 2. 62C max temp.
