Triple 180mm vs quad 140mm?

I'm wondering which radiator size is more effective at cooling considering they are both the same thickness and material. Either a triple 180mm radiator or a quad 140. Thanks!

There are some 140mm fans that push alot of air but on the most part you will get more air with 3 180mm than 4 140mm. Looks like you would need about 5 140mm to equal 3 180mm.

Now I am not sure that directly equates to better cooling but I believe it would.
