Hi everyone,

Just a quick question. Of everything in this build, all I haven't purchased yet is the motherboard. Im torn between the Asus M5A97 LE 2.0 and the Asus M5A97 2.0. The only major difference I know is that the LE cannot overclock but the other one can. I'm wondering would there be any real benefit in gaming to overclocking my PC? Ill be playing games such as Day Z standalone, Assassins creed black flag, BF4, etc.

Any help is apperciated. Here is my build

well in my own experience, i find no benefit in overclocking. it is only really necessary if your computer is behind modern tech :p

Should I future proof with an overclockable motherboard? I could always add a cpu cooler later. Im just wondering on opinions of what other people would do to help make my decision. Thank you for your response though!

well overclocking does help with future proofing. so yeah you could spend a little more for an overclockable keyboard

Is it safe to overcloc with my build since its so budget?? With my current build would I even get any benefits? I feel like I would just blow the mobo or the cpu if I even tried ahha.

its not safe to overclock with yours, you did not include a CPU cooler and you will just end up frying your cpu.

Oh no I meant with a CPU cooler. Sorry for the confusion. I stated in an earlier post if I felt the need to overclock I would add a CPU cooler. I just meant would I even get any noticeable benefits from overclocking that build? Sorry again for the confusion

And is the power supply sufficient even for an overclock?

yeah you can overclock with your PSU. but i would find no significant benefits. you can use msi afterburner or something to overclock your GPU.

So thus its pointless to buy a motherboard that can overclock the CPU because I would have no noticeable benefits?

If so that is the answer I was searching for! :]
