DirectX 11 Not Recognized anywhere

I recently built my first computer, and I've been havin trouble getting directx working. I have directx 11 installed, but when i try to run any of the steam games in my library they refuse to launch, for varying reasons, but all having to do with graphics. (i. e. RCT3 gives the error "directx 9 not found") Any suggestions?

Have you downloaded and installed all your latest drivers?

If you could tell me which graphics card you use, I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

This means that you do not have the DirectX9 runtime installed. Get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Well I just assumed that DirectX 11 comes with the necessary files to run games that require DirectX 9

I just got it working. It turns out that my graphics card drivers never fully installed, so I just installed it and now everything is working fine. Thanks!
