Hi everyone. I have a AMD 990 FX/ SB950 chipset. Im quite noob at computers... The other day i cleaned my cpu, maybe i went too far. Then i connected everything as before and when i turn it on. The cpu turns on but no display at the monitor. I checked and i have one solid red light ( cpu led) and the one from its side its flashing ( i checked in the manual and its the dram led )
Hope someone can help me, is very importart for me. Thank you!

When i turn it on only the cpu led is red but when i press the red go button the dram starts to blink. Also the light from the cd drive blinks green ( from the outside of the case ). Thanks for helping.

Having the same issue. First, mobo would post at all, CPU light blinked once and then no movement at all on the mobo. Reseated everything, now it turns on, all fans come on etc but CPU and DRAM LEDs both blink alternating red lights constantly. No video as of yet, otherwise appears to be working.

I fixed my problem. I had a screw in my mother i guess making some bad connection. And my processor wasnt well installed at the motherboard.

So what we learn is that these symptoms indicate a messy installation. Which is most obviously hard to diagnose through a forum.

General note - a motherboard doesnt have to be in a case to function, so therefor screwing in the motherboard tighter = not the solution but rather pure luck / coincidence that its now working

Agreed with DeathAndPain messy installation
