I get a greyish or green screen with a soundloop for some seconds then my monitors turns off with the message no video input detected.

Thats the core of my problem. Its a brand new pc, on this very day its a week old. My problem started 2 days ago while playing skyrim for an extended period, just happened once. Then yesterday the same thing just once, today it happens more frequently every 10-15 mins or so. And it seems to be increasing in frequency even as I write. Also had it happen in other less graphic intensive games than skyrim, so its not an isolated problem. Tried troubleshooting but I dont get any BSOD.

What I have done.
Checked that all fans are running, tempatures are all in the normal.
Tried reinstalling graphics drivers.
Tried swapping monitors and dvi exits, also tried hdmi.
Checked if I could spot any loose connections in the case, could not find anything.
Tried downclocking my GPU, I didnt OC it in the first place only had the factory OC preset.

Im hoping for some insights or I'll have to start swapping components 1 at the time, which is very troublesome since i lack spares..

My pc
OS; windows 8.1
Mobo; Asus z87-pro
CPU; Intel i5 4670k
CPU coolor; coolermaster evo 212 hyper.
Ram; 2x4 gb G. skill ripjaws 2133 MHz
GPU; Asus gtx 770 DCII
PSU; fractal Newton r3 1000w
Tower; fractal define R4
SDD Samsung 840 evo 120 gb (boot)
HDD Seagate baracuda 1 tb.

Any wisdom you can bestow upon me would be greatly appreciated.

You said you reinstalled drivers, but did you try a different version (older driver) or did you reinstall the same?

If a different driver doesn't fix it, the video card could be defective. Can you take it out and try with integrated graphics for a while?

Even though it's a new board, did you check if a new BIOS version was available?

In any case, you could also take a look at this guide in case you overlooked something:

Tried installing older GPU drivers to no avail. And now I've encountered a frozen windows login screen as well a couple of times.

And yes I went through the checklist from the link you posted.

I'll try removing the videocard now, but im not sure I'll be able to reproduce the error with just the onboard video card as the problem mainly seem to ocour when doing GPU heavy work.

EDIT: just noticed two short beeps on startup, very early like 2 seconds after hitting power buttom. Since I have an AMI bios does that mean that its actually my rams that causing the problems?

Since the problem occurs when you do heavy 3D work, it could be either the GPU or maybe the PSU if it fails to feed enough power. I know you picked high quality parts (both GPU and PSU) but one of the two could be defective. If you take the card out and use integrated for a while, if the system is stable for a couple of days, it could be a good indication that one of these two components is defective. Just in case this is the CPU or something else, you could also run stress test while you run on integrated graphics just to be sure.

If you look at your motherboard manual and it says 2 beeps mean bad RAM, then the first thing I would try would be to reseat the memory in case this is bad contact. If the problem keeps going, you would need to test each stick of RAM individually, start with 1 at a time. This could also be a bad memory slot on the board, so use a different slot too if the problem continues. Try different combinations of RAM and slot, etc...
