This has never happened to me before, ive installed windows several times, just not on this system(Latitude D620). im not on windows right now, currently im on mint 16, i wanna get windows back and dual boot, i really like word 2013.

side note:
-windows 8 gives the same "error"
-i havent tried xp yet. im not too keen to get xp media, waste of time in my eyes.
-not using stock wifi card

im also VERY comfortable removing things (ex:bluetooth module) to make it install, as i plan on reinstalling linux right after windows.

if anyone has any suggestions, im very open to that.

im using a usb drive setup with WinUSB(as per this Guide)

im an idiot, i found This.... may try formatting to ntfs, makes sense haha

currently there is no fix, because of the way windows 8 is setup. older hardware will have compatibility issues with ywindows 8 such as being unable to install drivers. best bet is to get windows 7. you can install office 2013

I actually did figure out a soulution, not the ideal one, as i had to go buy DVD's, my theory is that it was missing the USB driver
ive installed windows from a flash drive before, and this was weird,
so for anyone searching, you can use this as a reference
Sandisk 16gb (glide) works
however the 32gb doesnt. granted the 32gb is newer, so older ones may work better.
but burning the iso to a DVD worked without a hitch.
