How do I know when i wont have a problem with running games

I have a really good GPU (Radeon R9 270x) but my CPU isn't as good (AMD Fx-6300).

When I play games I sometimes get a message saying "Display driver stopped working and has recovered". Would this be because my CPU isn't as good. I am running these games in the highest settings.

i dont know the answer to your driver error but try updating your drivers but what i do know is its not your cpu's fault the cpu is fine with that card, i know because im running the same setup. the 270x works perfectly with the 6300

Yeah it is updated, i would normally have to tone down the graphics so i can play without any problems. But i know it can run the games on max graphics
