Will GeForce 760 SC work on my MSI FM2-A75MA-E35?

Will EVGA GeForce 760 SC work well on my MSI FM2-A75MA-E35? Have an A10-5800K APU installed.PSU is 800 Platinum. Plan on disabaling the iGPU anyway. Dumping my old HD 6670.

Yes, it will work.

It may lose up to 7% of its speed because the PCI-E slot is only 2.0, not 3.0, but it will work.

So, do you think I sould not be so aggresive with my choice? Like I sad...I don't want to buy a race car to drive though a small parking lot. Any suggestions on a card that will play faster without losing performance?

No, I think the GTX 760 is a good match for your CPU. If you want something faster, look at the GTX 770 too or R9-280x.

Your CPU is not bad at all

but it would hold back a GTX 780 Ti or R9-290x.

I read that article earlier. So as I understand it, the loss will always be about the same %. Bigger the pie the bigger the slice!
