Beeping from computer, black screen, and no boot up after upgrading RAM

So, today I received some new RAM (2x2gb), and when i put it in my computer and try to boot it up the computer won't boot, i get a black screen, and the computer beeps. I took out the new RAM and the computer ran fine... Any suggestions?

Yep probably using the wrong ram slots, badly seated ram or you bought the wrong type.

Look up your computers model number on the manufacturing website. Look for a troubleshooting guide. Once you've found the relevant document find the section about POST Beeps, it will be a list or table telling you what the different beeps mean, while you are on the manufactures website check the pc specs to see if your ram is the right type. If you need some help just post your PC's make and model and the details on the ram you brought and I'll help you out.
