hi, bought the ADM radeon HD 7850 with a gigabyte motherboard

http://www.ebuyer.com/546762-gigabyte-amd-am3-970a-4-dd...

i have connected everything up but i cannot get on the computer without configuring the display settings but i cannot do that without a display? i read somehwere when you insert GPU and connect it to the pc, it automatically give you a display until you update the drivers.

mine hasn't..

help would be very much appreciated!

You HD 7850 should have a DVI port. Plug your monitor there and run your PC. Also, make sure that your HD 7850 has a 6-pin power connector plugged to it or else it wouldn't work.

Have you tried connecting your monitor to one of the video card's VGA port?

sorry, it has 2 DVA, 2 mini display and one HDMI.
my previous monitor i used was VGA but im using my 1080p HD screen now which only has HDMI socket, and VGA.

is there no chance that the graphics card will activate from HDMI (GPU) to HDMI (monitor) ?
if not, are there any other solutions, i don't own a VGA cable

Sorry, I got confused a little. Do you mean this?

Your monitor has: HDMI and VGA
Your card has: DVI, HDMI, and Mini displayport

So your only way of connecting your card to your monitor is via HDMI?

i think RAM may be the issue.
