It seems that there is some "ghost data" hanging around on my SSD. When I go to properties, this shows up:
All well and good, but when i turn on hidden folders and highlight all of the folders direct from the drive, I get this:
It seems there's twice the amount of data I can see as a user actually on the drive. But the mega weird thing is, the ghost data almost scales to the size as it grows. Before formatting for the second time, the properties reported I had 220 gb of used space, when I could only locate about 150 gb of data. That's a lot of space I could be using Any ideas on what causes this? I did all the disk cleanup and error checking runs multiple times, and, as previously stated, formatted multiple times. Thanks for any help.
