I am a gamer and I had a build in mind including a 250BG SSD and a 1TB HDD. My current PC has about a 240GB HDD and it's not even full, should I scrap the 1TB HDD and just go with a 500GB SSD?

Personally I think 120 or 250GB SSD + 1TB HDD is best. Gives you more room in case you want videos, music...yadda yadda. Also, 250GB is enough for OS, all programs, and at least 8 or so games.
  2. For gaming an SSD isn't really important, it'll speed up loading screen but that's about it. However an SSD is great for you OS. booting, shutting down, opening programs will all happen a lot faster, same times 5x faster than a 5400rpm HDD. So it's up to you.

  4. I have a 250GB SSD and it has OS, all programs, BF3, BF4, and 3 others games...yet I have 70GB still free. Plenty of room!
