Problem with PSU or MOBO?

Hi all!

I just started encountering a problem with my build after 2 months of it running flawlessly. One day when i went to turn on my PC, it would not power on. I switched the plug into another outlet that I knew was working but it still would not power on. I then went on to unplugging the PSU wire from the PSU and replugging it in(thinking it might have gotten loose) and it was able to power on. After 2 hours of usage, the computer just shuts off and the same problem happens. This time unplugging and replugging the wire does not make a difference. I went on to trying to flick the PSU power switch off/on and after a few attempts I was able to power on the computer again, and got a BIOS corruption screen which my MOBO backup took care of. It worked fine for a day, but the next day the problem continues to persist where the computer would not power back on after shutdown or sleep, or it would shut down randomly during use and the only way to turn it back on is flipping the PSU power button on/off multiple times.

I have been looking around forums for the same exact problem but can not find anything. Is it a hardware problem? If so how do I go about troubleshooting it?

The PSU i have is a corsair cx600, the mobo is a gigabyte ga-z77-ds3h.

Thank you for any input!

Yep the cx models have been known to have a tad bit of trouble here and there but a better power supply like what was mention above should get ya back in the game seasonic costs more but worth ever penny xfx makes a good one to also antec is good and many more...
