I had a problem with my 770 when i built my pc. It wasn't detected and didn't output video. Is your video out setting in bios set to video card or onboard? Have you been able to update to latest drivers?

This is a new build and I am a new builder, where would you look for this setting? Where would it be in the Bios

Look for keywords like chipset or pcie, you'll find a setting that if you haven't already changed it will say something like on-board and integrated, change it to pci-e

First try updating drivers from nvidia. I don't remember exactly where it is, I have an asrock extreme6 and found it pretty easily. My windows is in the middle of big update so I can't check right now. Go into BIOS by hitting delete as pc is turning on. I'm pretty sure it's under advanced tab. Have a look in the north and south bridge. Also while you're in there on the first screen when you enter bios I believe there's only two options, one of which is the system something. which will acutually show you what's installed on mobo. See if it says anything is in the pcie slot your card is in.

Disable onboard igpu in the bios choose the pci for the vid/gpu card 770 then save and exit.

Download and install latest drivers. Go into bios > advanced > northbridge > set primary graphics adapter to pcie make sure to save and exit. Restart again if needed and hopefully that will work

I've done that but now, no matter which version of the drivers I install, the computer crashes on bootup.
