Hello all,

I have a monitor 1440x900 and I use 1280x1024 as my default (with old vga geForce 9600 GT). But, whenever I play games, any games, it tries to open the game in fullscreen and display resolution far beyond my monitor can display, thence it goes blank and shows the warning of its maximum resolution.

I can partly solve the problem by changing the game display into windowed-display first, lowering the resolution and then back to fullscreen.

Is there any way to change the default resolution for whenever I go fullscreen with my game?

can I force the resolution to the game so the fullscreen mode won't exceed my monitor's maximum resolution limit?

thank you.

You can use the geforce experience to optimize your games. It will automatically set the resolution and refresh rate to match your normal resolution. Then if you needed to you could adjust those settings and they should save and stay that way.
