How can i upgrade my ram?

Hey guys!I have a single ram with 4gb and i am not sure but i think it is 1333mhz
and i want to upgrade to 8 gb of ram.will i need to buy a new 8 gb ram or two new 4 gb's or i can somehow buy a 4gb ram and put it with my ram? :S

I would get 2 4GB sticks. You really want them to be a matching pair. Otherwise you could get Memory errors, shut downs etc. Also 2 sticks so that you are using dual channel, to it's full potential. Remember to press firmly and hear your ram click into place, enjoy...

my motherboard has only two slots for ram and i want to know if i can get only one 4gb ram to pair it with my current ram? can i do that?

NO, it has to be a matching pair. You could go buy 1 stick and it might work. If you do that make sure it is exactly the same as what is in there now, best of luck...

ooh ok.. but how can i see what ram i use? speccy doesnt say something for my ram only that it is 4 gb and for somereason it says my ram is 600 mhz or something like that :S

you'll have to open up the computer and look at it to know what is in there.

I have already done that. lol :p but i dont understand nothing :S it has some letters at it its like a code or something. i think i will have to search. right?
