i5 4670k
im running 4.6ghz stable @ 1.210V set to adaptive
VCCIN to 1.7XX (Auto)
Cpu Ring bus 43x @ 1.190V set to adaptive

but i found my 4.8 Ghz Stability at 1.285V Set to adaptive
VCCIN @ 1.950V
cpu ring bus 44x @ 1.200V set to adaptive.

memory is on default 1333Mhz @ 1.5 V (Not yet tweaked)

my question is. why is it sooo darn far. i mean the voltage of my 4.6ghz to 4.8ghz to make it stable. they are just 2 notches away.. hmmm.

calling all nerds out there.
can somebody explain this?

Solution
processor needs more volt to work at 4.8 many cores not only one core. and sure stability if lightly down the volt the processor not give more performance and slowdown .

i only got 60°min - 75°max on my 4.8 Ghz Settings im using H100i for the cooler. soo, as far as im concern im still on the safe temperature.

i just only use 1333Mhz to find the highest clock as possible.. you know, the rule "CPU IS THE KING"

but your reply is way to far what im asking.. :(

im asking why is it the voltage is to far from my 4.6 Ghz Settings...

hope someone there could enlighten me.
