Hello , This is my first time posting here and was not sure where to ask , hope this is the right spot!
I am looking to build a PC for me and my family to use as a sort of "entertainment HUB" in our living room. I would describe myself as hardware enthusiast and have researched the current top tier GPUs , CPUs and motherboards.

With that being said I've come here to the forums to ask the advice of knowledgeable people and to receive some insight into what I can and want to do. Let's get at it then. I will list the 5 things I'm looking for and hopefully you guys can help.

1. I want to play video games on high/ultra settings. (I play everything from WoW to NBA 2k to Fps)
2. I want to surf the web using multiple pages running. (twitch , Netflix , youtube , Hulu)
3. I want to be able to watch bluray movies on a 1080p , 60mhz LCD t.v. ( maybe 4k in future)
4. I want to be able to use Microsoft xbox style controllers for some games. (2k , madden, CoD)
5. I want to be able to use Fraps or other capture software for recording gameplay. (WoW , BF4)

It's pretty basic stuff and I guess you could say I'm just trying to build a gaming rig with full computer functionality as well. I would love any and all help regarding this and don't really want to hear fanboy remarks about intel vs AMD or AMD vs Nvidia. Budget is 1200-1500 u.s. dollars.

because of shadowplay i'd go nvidia, 770 would do you
k series i5
8GB ram
mini itx build, bitfenix prodigy case

or get a high end steambox, as essentially that's what you are building.

I'd also get a NAS for bulk storage (elsewhere) with GBe connections, and start build Gbe infrastructure, that way if you add a device, laptop, other pc etc. then you can access the files and the hub machine can be off.
